Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Store and Inventory Officer to anchor our logistics and storage operations in Port Harcourt. This role is the backbone of our production efficiency; you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of raw materials, specialized packaging, and finished products.

Because our inventory includes herbs and chemicals, this position requires more than just basic record-keeping. We need a professional who understands the science of proper storage, the discipline of periodic reconciliation, and the foresight to prevent stockouts before they disrupt the production line.

Requirements:

1. Specialized Storage & Material Handling

• Inflow/Outflow Governance: Supervise the receipt, systematic storage, and issuance of all raw materials, chemicals, and herbs to ensure zero wastage.

• Environmental Integrity: Maintain strict storage conditions (temperature, humidity, and safety protocols) tailored to the specific needs of sensitive materials like herbs and chemical compounds.

• Facility Organization: Optimize store layout for high-speed retrieval and maximum space utilization.

2. Inventory Analytics & Reconciliation

• Digital Record-Keeping: Maintain an accurate, real-time database of all stock movements using inventory management software or structured ledgers.

• Audit & Reconciliation: Lead periodic physical stock counts and perform rigorous reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies between physical counts and system records.

• Inventory Visibility: Provide management with clear reports on stock aging, slow-moving items, and overall inventory value.

3. Supply Chain Collaboration

• Demand Forecasting: Monitor stock levels with a "predictive" eye, informing procurement teams of reorder needs well in advance of depletion.

• Production Synergy: Work in lockstep with the production department to ensure that all necessary materials are available for scheduled manufacturing runs.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure that the handling of all chemicals and goods complies with safety regulations and organizational policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: OND, HND, or BSc in Store Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of core experience in inventory control or storekeeping (experience with manufacturing or chemical/herbal storage is a plus).

• Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory; experience with specialized inventory software (e.g., Odoo, Sage, or Tally) is an advantage.
