Job Description:

We are seeking a high-stakes Recovery Manager to take absolute ownership of our Non-Performing Loan (NPL) and Written-Off portfolios. In the world of fintech and consumer lending, the Recovery Manager is the final line of defense for profitability. Your mission is simple but rigorous: exceed monthly recovery targets, eliminate performance gaps, and foster a high-pressure, high-reward recovery culture.

This role is for an operator who thinks in numbers and manages by data. You should be obsessed with run rates, "war-room" reviews, and the psychology of debt collection. If you take extreme ownership, move fast, and can balance firm negotiation with customer empathy, you are the leader we need to safeguard our portfolio quality.

Requirements:

1. Target Ownership & Run-Rate Governance

  • Velocity Management: Translate monthly NPL benchmarks into granular daily and weekly run-rate expectations.

  • Recovery Sprints: Identify deficits in the first week of the month and execute structured "sprints" to close gaps before month-end.

  • Account Optimization: Dynamically reallocate high-value or complex accounts to top-tier performers to maximize recovery probability.

2. Performance Architecture & Analytics

  • War-Room Leadership: Implement daily performance reviews focused on Promise-to-Pay (PTP) conversion rates, Right Party Contact (RPC) rates, and agent intensity.

  • Portfolio Segmentation: Design data-driven strategies based on balance, risk tier, and customer behavior to optimize collector efforts.

  • Incentive Engineering: Introduce structured incentive models that align agent rewards with portfolio health and recovery volume.

3. Leadership & Executive Insight

  • Capability Building: Recruit and develop a "hunter" class of recovery agents, ensuring underperformance is corrected with speed and discipline.

  • Strategic Reporting: Provide executive management with sharp, insight-led forecasts of month-end outcomes based on real-time data.

  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively highlight risks to profitability and propose aggressive mitigation plans to reduce "roll-forward" rates.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: HND or BSc in a relevant discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in Recoveries, with a strong preference for Consumer Lending or Fintech environments.

  • Leadership: Proven experience managing large teams (20+ collectors) and a track record of consistently smashing recovery benchmarks.

  • Technical Savvy: High data fluency; experience with digital collections platforms and portfolio analytics.
