Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and strategically minded Chartered Accountant to join our team in Abuja. In this role, you will be the guardian of our financial health, with a specific focus on revenue accounting and receivables management. You will be expected to leverage your professional expertise to optimize our internal control systems and deliver high-level financial insights to the leadership team.

The ideal candidate is a Chartered Member of ICAN (ACA) or ACCA with a proven track record in complex financial reporting. You must be comfortable navigating ERP environments and possess the analytical "muscle" to translate raw financial data into actionable business intelligence.

Requirements:

1. Revenue Accounting & Receivables Management

• Revenue Governance: Oversee the end-to-end revenue accounting function, ensuring all income streams are accurately captured, categorized, and reconciled.

• Credit & Collections: Manage the accounts receivable lifecycle, implementing strategies to reduce "Days Sales Outstanding" (DSO) and improve cash flow.

• Policy Compliance: Ensure all revenue recognition practices strictly adhere to IFRS and local regulatory standards.

2. Financial Reporting & Data Analytics

• Advanced Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that provide a transparent view of organizational performance.

• ERP Optimization: Utilize advanced accounting software and ERP systems to automate workflows and enhance data accuracy.

• Excel Modeling: Apply advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Power Query) to conduct deep-dive financial analysis and forecasting.

3. Internal Controls & Risk Management

• Control Architecture: Design and maintain robust internal control systems to mitigate financial risk and prevent fraud or error.

• Audit Readiness: Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is pristine and compliance-ready.

• Strategic Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with broader business operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting (or a related discipline) from a recognized institution.

• Mandatory Certification: Must be a Chartered Member of ICAN (ACA) or ACCA.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years post-qualification or 10 years post-graduation cognate experience in Revenue Accounting or Financial Reporting.

Core Competencies

• Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of Revenue Accounting and Internal Control systems.

• Software Fluency: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and professional ERP/Accounting software.

• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication abilities and a proven capacity to function as a collaborative team player.
