Job Description:

We are seeking a strategically-minded Procurement Officer to lead the sourcing and delivery of critical infrastructure components for a premier high-rise facility in Lagos. This is not just a "buying" role; it is a vital function that ensures the continuous operation of complex building systems—from elevators and HVAC to electrical and structural maintenance products.

Your mission is to build a high-performance supply chain that balances uncompromising quality with cost efficiency. You will navigate the market to find the best manufacturers and vendors, ensuring that our facility maintenance teams have the high-quality electromechanical parts they need, exactly when they need them. Requirements:

1. Technical Sourcing & Vendor Governance

  • Specialized Procurement: Lead the timely sourcing and delivery of high-quality electromechanical and building materials essential for high-rise facility management.

  • Supplier Vetting: Rigorously review and analyze vendors, manufacturers, and supply options to ensure they meet our technical standards and reliability benchmarks.

  • Manufacturer Relations: Build and maintain direct relationships with manufacturers to ensure the authenticity and quality of technical components.

2. Commercial Negotiation & Contract Management

  • Price Optimization: Execute sophisticated negotiation strategies to secure the most competitive pricing and favorable supply contracts without sacrificing quality.

  • Purchase Order (PO) Management: Prepare and manage accurate Purchase Orders, ensuring all specifications, lead times, and terms are clearly documented.

  • Market Analysis: Constantly monitor market trends for building materials and electromechanical parts to anticipate price fluctuations and supply chain disruptions.

3. Logistics & Delivery Assurance

  • Supply Chain Oversight: Ensure the end-to-end delivery of all procured items, coordinating logistics to prevent delays in critical building maintenance schedules.

  • Inventory Alignment: Work closely with the facility management team to ensure that procurement cycles align with the building’s preventive and corrective maintenance calendars.

  • Operational Reporting: Utilize procurement software and MS Office to track spending, vendor performance, and delivery timelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably within the construction, facility management, or engineering sectors.

  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Procurement Software (ERP) and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Core Competencies

  • Negotiation Grit: Proven ability to manage contracts and negotiate high-value deals with technical vendors.

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to compare complex supply options and identify the best value-for-money propositions.
