Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber Procurement Officer to lead the sourcing and acquisition of critical raw materials (polymers), industrial equipment, and essential services. In the manufacturing sector, procurement is the engine of production; your role is to ensure that this engine runs with maximum cost-effectiveness, uncompromising quality, and clockwork timing.
You will act as a strategic gatekeeper, balancing aggressive negotiation with robust supplier relationship management. If you have a deep understanding of market fluctuations, a "documentation-first" mindset, and a proven track record of optimizing supply chains within the manufacturing landscape, we want you on our team.
Requirements:
1. Supplier Intelligence & Strategic Sourcing
Supplier Lifecycle Management: Conduct rigorous research and evaluation to select reliable suppliers that meet our stringent quality standards for polymers and industrial components.
Negotiation & Contracting: Lead high-stakes negotiations on pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, ensuring that all contracts protect the organization’s interests while fostering cordial long-term partnerships.
Market Trend Analysis: Analyze global and local market trends to anticipate price fluctuations in raw materials, enabling informed and proactive purchasing decisions.
2. Operational Logistics & Inventory Governance
Procurement Planning: Structure and execute detailed purchasing plans that align with production schedules to ensure zero downtime.
Inventory Control: Collaborate closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to manage inventory levels, preventing stockouts of critical materials like polymers while optimizing carrying costs.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain flawless records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance metrics to provide management with data-driven insights.
3. Financial Management & Risk Mitigation
Budgetary Oversight: Develop and manage procurement budgets, performing continuous cost analysis to ensure all activities stay within financial guardrails.
Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identify and implement innovative cost-reduction strategies that improve the bottom line without compromising the quality of raw materials or equipment.
Supply Chain Risk Management: Anticipate potential disruptions in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of core procurement experience within the Manufacturing Industry is MANDATORY.
Tech Stack: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Advanced Excel is a plus) and experience working with ERP systems.
