Job Description:

  • Plan and coordinate the preparation and review of contracts to ensure commercial contracts are fit for purpose, mitigate contractual risks and are delivered within the operational budgets.
  • Offer expert insight into commercial contracts across the business
  • Provide guidance to support the production of any legal and contractual correspondence including terminations, breach of contract notices etc; which may from time to time be required for Legal engagements
  • Support the contracting process for services delivered by ntel to its Customers
  • Develop contracting systems to ensure robust processes across the organisation
  • Oversee negotiation of commercial agreements and contracts to ensure all contracts are processed in line with ntels’ policies and business objectives
  • Negotiating and evolution of contracts to ensure the business does not take excessive risk or contract on inappropriate legal or commercial terms.
  • Provides support for the development and implementation of a Contract Management methodology that aligns to best practice and ensures accurate recording of and access to contract information.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education / Professional Certification

  • First Degree in Law (LLB, BL)
  • Masters in Law is an advantage
  • Professional Certification in Law is desirable
  • Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association or any relevant body is required

Minimum 15 years experience including:

  • 5-8 years’ experience negotiating and drafting telecom contracts
  • 10 years’ proven experience in commercial contract management
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages
  • Demonstrable skills and success in leading and developing others.
