Job Description:

We are seeking a highly disciplined and detail-oriented Inventory Officer to manage, track, and safeguard all construction materials, tools, and equipment across our real estate development projects. In this critical role, you will be the gatekeeper of our physical assets, ensuring that stock records are 100% accurate and that resources are available precisely when needed to support smooth project execution. You will play a vital part in our cost-control efforts by tracking material usage and optimizing storage systems to eliminate wastage.

The ideal candidate is a proactive professional with deep knowledge of construction materials and the technical proficiency to manage complex inventory software.

Requirements:

Inventory Management & Accuracy

• Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, real-time records of all construction materials, equipment, and consumables.

• Stock Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels across multiple sites and initiate timely reorders to prevent project delays caused by shortages.

• Reconciliation: Conduct regular physical stock counts (spot checks and full audits) and reconcile physical findings with digital system records.

Procurement & Logistics Coordination

• Verification: Collaborate with the procurement team to inspect and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders (POs) and delivery notes.

• Documentation: Ensure all goods received and issued are supported by proper documentation, including Waybills and Goods Received Notes (GRNs).

• Site Distribution: Coordinate closely with Site Supervisors to manage the seamless distribution of materials to various construction phases.

Compliance, Reporting & Cost Control

• Reporting: Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.

• Anomaly Detection: Flag any discrepancies, losses, or damages immediately and recommend practical corrective actions.

• Usage Tracking: Track material consumption per project to support budgeting, financial auditing, and cost-control initiatives.

Operational Efficiency & Safety

• Storage Optimization: Design and implement efficient storage systems to reduce material degradation, prevent wastage, and improve site accessibility.

• Safety Standards: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols in the handling, stacking, and storage of heavy construction materials and hazardous supplies.

Qualifications and Skills:

ducation & Experience

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

• Seniority: Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in inventory management.

• Sector Focus: Direct experience within the construction or real estate sector is highly preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).

• Data Mastery: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting.

• Material Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of construction materials, tools, and industrial equipment.

Core Competencies

• Analytical Ability: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to identify patterns in stock movement and usage.

• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with procurement, site workers, and senior management.

• Integrity: A high level of professional ethics in managing valuable physical company assets.
