Job Description:

Our client, a dynamic player in the Clothing & Thrift Fashion industry, is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Officer. In this role, you will be the guardian of the company’s physical assets, responsible for the end-to-end monitoring of stock movement. Given the unique nature of thrift fashion where every item is often one-of-a-kind you will play a critical role in ensuring that every piece of clothing is accurately recorded, properly categorized, and accounted for from arrival to sale.

The ideal candidate is an organized professional who thrives in fast-paced retail environments and possesses the analytical rigor to maintain 100% inventory accuracy.

Requirements:

Stock Movement & Tracking

  • Daily Monitoring: Manage and monitor inventory records daily to ensure real-time visibility of stock levels.

  • Inbound/Outbound Logistics: Receive, record, and track all incoming shipments and outgoing sales, ensuring no item goes unrecorded.

  • Product Arrangement: Ensure products are properly sorted, tagged, and arranged in the warehouse or store for easy retrieval and visual accounting.

Audit & Reconciliation

  • Stock Counts: Conduct periodic physical stock counts (weekly/monthly) to verify physical inventory against system records.

  • Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and digital logs.

  • Discrepancy Reporting: Promptly identify and investigate stock shortages, damages, or errors, providing immediate reports to management.

Operations & Reporting

  • Availability Management: Support store operations by ensuring high-demand products are available and correctly positioned for sale.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, time-stamped documentation of all inventory activities, including transfers and returns.

  • Management Reporting: Prepare comprehensive inventory reports for management review, highlighting turnover rates and stock health.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Degree: OND, HND, or B.Sc. qualification in any related field.

  • Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, storekeeping, or retail operations is an added advantage.

  • Industry Interest: A passion for or interest in the fashion and thrift industry is preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Digital Literacy: Strong ability to use Microsoft Excel and other record-keeping or Point of Sale (POS) systems.

  • Inventory Control: Good knowledge of stock management principles, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or specific retail tracking methods.

  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to categorize and manage large volumes of unique items.

Salary

₦100,000 - ₦150,000/month
