Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber, analytical Inventory Control Officer to serve as the ultimate guardian of our physical assets. This is a critical governance role designed for a professional who understands that inventory is "money sitting on shelves."
Your mission is to achieve 100% System-to-Physical alignment. You will oversee the digital and physical lifecycle of stock across all branches and warehouses, identifying leakage points before they impact the bottom line. If you possess a "forensic" eye for detail and the technical grit to reconcile complex multi-location transfers, we want you to lead our inventory integrity efforts.
Requirements:
1. Systems Integrity & Multi-Location Governance
Daily Ledger Maintenance: Own the accuracy of daily stock records across all branches and warehouse locations, ensuring every movement is captured in real-time.
Transfer Reconciliation: Process and validate inter-location stock transfers, ensuring that "In-Transit" inventory is rigorously tracked and accounted for.
System Synchronization: Act as the final authority on the alignment between physical counts and ERP/Inventory system records.
2. Audit, Analysis & Loss Prevention
Cycle Count Leadership: Design and execute routine cycle counts and periodic full-scale audits to maintain constant visibility over high-value and fast-moving SKUs.
Discrepancy Investigation: Conduct "root-cause" investigations into stock variances, distinguishing between administrative errors, logistical shrink, and potential theft.
Reporting & Insights: Prepare high-level inventory dashboards for management, highlighting variance trends and proposing structural improvements to prevent future losses.
3. Process Optimization
SOP Enforcement: Support the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for receiving, picking, and dispatching to strengthen internal controls.
Independent Oversight: Work autonomously to meet strict reporting deadlines, providing unbiased data that informs procurement and financial decisions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in Inventory Control, Stock Management, or Forensic Auditing.
Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Inventory Management Software (ERP/WMS) and advanced Excel for data reconciliation.
Core Competencies
Analytical Mindset: Ability to spot patterns in data that indicate systemic leaks or process failures.
Meticulous Detail: A "zero-error" approach to handling large datasets and physical stock logs.
Integrity: Unwavering ethical standards and accountability in handling sensitive asset data.
