Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and structurally elite Inventory Analyst to anchor the data engine of our Lagos Island operations. In a specialized retail landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the speed of the stock turn and the precision of the demand forecast success is defined by "Asset Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize sales data with the clinical precision required for Demand Forecasting, Performance Evaluation, and Cost Analysis. This role is designed for a "Data Architect" with a Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field and 4 years of experience who can blend "Analytical Grit" (uncovering brand-level buying patterns) with the "Strategic Agility" required to balance stock levels and avoid the bottlenecks of overstocking or stockouts.
Requirements:
1. Orchestration & Demand Governance
Forecasting Sovereignty: Analyze sales and inventory data to uncover brand-level buying patterns, acting as the primary "Source of Predictive Intelligence."
Movement Architecture: Monitor stock movement to identify slow-moving vs. fast-moving items, providing the "Structural Foundation" for inter-branch transfers and clearance strategies.
Integrity Stewardship: Track and analyze inventory shrinkage trends (theft/damages), ensuring the "Source of Asset Protection" is elite and uncompromised.
2. Tactical Resilience & Evaluative Logic
Balance Sovereignty: Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent stockouts while minimizing overstocking, acting as the primary "Source of Capital Efficiency."
Launch Architecture: Evaluate the performance of new product launches using data-driven insights, providing the "Functional Foundation" for future buying decisions.
Valuation Stewardship: Support finance in inventory valuation and reconciliation processes, maintaining the "Source of Fiscal Transparency."
3. Operational Integrity & Systems Power
Visualization Sovereignty: Develop and maintain dashboards for real-time visibility into stock health, acting as the primary "Source of Tactical Oversight."
Procurement Architecture: Collaborate with buying teams to determine purchase order quantities, providing the "Relational Foundation" for supply chain synergy.
Velocity Logic: Utilize 4 years of Retail/FMCG Analytics experience to translate complex data into actionable insights, maximizing the "Source of Operational Throughput."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in data analysis within a retail, FMCG, or supply chain environment.
Systems Power: Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Sage, Oracle, or SAP) and Advanced Excel (Data Modeling).
Added Advantage: Experience with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.
