Job Description:

We are seeking an execution-focused Intermediate Backend Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and scaling the core engine of our platforms using C# and ASP.NET Core. You will design robust RESTful APIs, manage complex data structures via Entity Framework Core, and integrate essential third-party services like payment gateways. We need a developer who values clean code, understands the nuances of the SOLID principles, and is comfortable navigating both local and cloud-based infrastructures (Azure).

Requirements:

1. API Development & System Architecture

• Service Engineering: Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using ASP.NET Core, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and performant.

• API Design: Design and consume RESTful APIs, utilizing Swagger/OpenAPI for clear documentation and seamless frontend integration.

• Architecture: Apply OOP and SOLID principles to ensure the codebase remains maintainable and extensible.

2. Data Management & Integrations

• Database Operations: Design and optimize schemas in SQL Server, implementing data access logic through Entity Framework Core.

• Fintech Integrations: Integrate third-party APIs and local/international payment platforms such as Paystack, Flutterwave, or Stripe.

• Security & Auth: Implement secure authentication and authorization protocols using JWT and OAuth.

3. DevOps & Collaboration

• Cloud & Deployment: Manage deployments and infrastructure within Microsoft Azure, utilizing Docker and CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.

• Version Control: Maintain code integrity using Git (GitHub/GitLab) through structured branch management and rigorous code reviews.

• Team Synergy: Collaborate with frontend engineers and product owners to translate business requirements into technical reality.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Total Tenure: 3 – 5 years of hands-on experience in backend development with a focus on the Microsoft stack.

The Tech Stack

• Languages & Frameworks: Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.

• Data Access: Expertise in EF Core and SQL Server.

• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with Azure, Docker, and Microservices architecture.

• Tools: Experience with Swagger, Postman, and Git.
