Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and ethically driven HR Officer / Manager to lead our human resource functions across various regions in Nigeria. This role is critical in ensuring that our regional offices in Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Delta, Enugu, Kwara, Oyo, Plateau, and Yobe are staffed with high-performing talent and operate in full compliance with national and organizational standards.
As the HR lead for your designated region, you will act as the bridge between corporate strategy and local implementation. You will manage the entire employee lifecycle—from recruitment and licensing verification to performance management and labor relations—ensuring that our commitment to quality service delivery is reflected in every member of our team.
Requirements:
1. Talent Acquisition & Credentialing
Strategic Staffing: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for medical, administrative, and support staff within your region.
Credential Verification: For healthcare-related environments, ensure all clinical staff possess valid and up-to-date professional licenses and certifications.
Onboarding Excellence: Facilitate the integration of new hires, ensuring they are fully aligned with organizational values and operational protocols from day one.
2. Performance & Employee Relations
Engagement & Culture: Foster a positive workplace culture characterized by teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to service quality.
Mediation: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions in accordance with the Nigerian Labour Act.
Performance Governance: Implement appraisal systems that monitor KPIs and support continuous professional development for regional staff.
3. Compliance & Administrative Oversight
Regulatory Stewardship: Ensure the regional office operates in full compliance with state and federal labor laws, health and safety regulations, and professional licensing requirements.
Data Management: Maintain meticulous HR records, including payroll data, leave management, and personnel files, with a high level of attention to detail.
Quality Assurance: Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: BSc. in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related social science field.
Experience: Relevant professional experience in HR management, particularly within a professional or healthcare environment.
Certifications: Possession of required academic and professional qualifications, including active HR certifications (e.g., CIPM) and licenses applicable to the role.
Core Competencies
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
Teamwork: A proven ability to lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
Integrity: A demonstrated commitment to organizational values and ethical decision-making.
Local Insight: Familiarity with the labor landscape in any of the specific job locations (Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Delta, Enugu, Kwara, Oyo, Plateau, or Yobe) is an advantage.
