Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and operationally sound HR Operations Officer to serve as the dedicated on-site HR lead for our hospitality team. In this role, you will act as the vital link between our daily restaurant operations and the strategic HR framework provided by Brooks Advisory Services Limited (BASL).
You will be responsible for the high-precision management of people data—from shift scheduling and attendance to KPI tracking and payroll validation. This is an ideal role for an HR professional with 2–4 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the "analytical grit" to turn staffing data into actionable management insights.
Requirements:
1. Data-Driven HR Operations
Record Integrity: Maintain meticulous employee records, contracts, and digital HR documentation to ensure 100% audit readiness.
Workforce Analytics: Track and analyze critical metrics such as staff attendance, shift patterns, leave, and overtime, converting this data into turnover and performance reports.
Process Discipline: Implement and enforce the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and HR policies designed by BASL, ensuring consistent application across the restaurant.
2. Performance, Payroll & Compliance
KPI Governance: Monitor staff productivity and efficiency, supporting the implementation of BASL’s performance appraisal systems to drive a high-performance culture.
Financial Accuracy: Validate all payroll inputs—including attendance-based deductions and approved overtime—to ensure timely and error-free salary processing in collaboration with the accounts team.
Labour Stewardship: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries while ensuring all disciplinary processes and documentation strictly adhere to Nigerian Labour Laws.
3. Recruitment, Training & Onboarding
Talent Acquisition: Support recruitment for specialized restaurant roles, coordinating interviews and managing the end-to-end documentation process.
Onboarding & Induction: Facilitate a smooth entry for new hires, ensuring they are fully integrated into the brand’s culture and BASL’s operational standards.
Development Support: Identify departmental training needs and coordinate learning schedules to ensure staff skills stay sharp and participation records are accurately maintained.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 2–4 years of HR experience, with a strong preference for candidates from the Hospitality, Food Service, or Retail sectors.
Technical IQ: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory; must be comfortable using spreadsheets for complex reporting and data analysis.
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of Nigerian Labour Laws and internal compliance protocols.
Core Competencies
Analytical Mindset: Ability to see the "story" behind HR data and translate it into management insights.
Administrative Rigor: Strong organizational skills with an uncompromising attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to manage diverse staff needs in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
