Job Description:

  • The HR / Office Officer will be responsible for providing professional support across the Bank’s human resources and office administration functions, ensuring the effective coordination of workforce processes and daily office operations within a regulated startup digital microfinance banking environment.
  • The role requires an experienced professional with strong expertise in HR operations, workplace administration, staff coordination, office control systems, and compliance with organizational procedures.
  • The successful candidate will oversee the smooth running of office activities, ensure administrative discipline, support employee lifecycle processes, maintain workplace efficiency, and provide structured operational support to the Head of Human Resources.
  • The role is critical to maintaining operational order, workforce administration efficiency, and a well-coordinated office environment that supports business continuity.

 

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Operations:

  • Support end-to-end recruitment coordination, interview scheduling, onboarding, induction, and employee documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with HR documentation standards.
  • Coordinate leave administration, attendance monitoring, and employee data management.
  • Support payroll administration through accurate collation and validation of HR input data.
  • Assist in implementing HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook provisions.
  • Monitor employee compliance with workplace policies and escalate breaches appropriately.
  • Support performance management processes, appraisal coordination, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Prepare HR operational reports and workforce administration updates for the Head of HR.
  • Ensure proper documentation of disciplinary actions, confirmations, exits, and other employee lifecycle processes.

 

Office Administration & Operational Coordination:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily office activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure the office opens and closes in accordance with approved operational schedules.
  • Monitor staff punctuality, attendance discipline, and adherence to office protocols.
  • Oversee office facility readiness, cleanliness, maintenance, and functionality.
  • Manage office inventory, supplies, asset usage, and administrative resource allocation.
  • Coordinate third-party vendors, service providers, and facility support arrangements.
  • Ensure workstations, meeting rooms, and operational spaces are fully functional at all times.
  • Monitor utility usage and ensure uninterrupted operational support services.
  • Coordinate office logistics for internal meetings, management sessions, and official engagements.
  • Maintain administrative control systems for office processes and workflow coordination.

 

Compliance & Administrative Control:

  • Ensure adherence to internal administrative policies and approved office procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with workplace operational standards.
  • Identify administrative process gaps and recommend operational improvements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for HR and office records.
  • Support internal audits and provide administrative documentation when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Public Administration, or related discipline

 

Professional Certifications:
The following certifications are highly preferred:

  • Associate Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (ACIPM) / Chartered CIPM / SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP
  • Certified Administrative Professional (CAP)
  • Project Management Professional certifications are an added advantage

 

Experience:

  • 5–7 years relevant experience in Human Resources and Office Administration
  • At least 3years hands-on experience managing structured office operations
  • Proven experience supporting HR operations in banking, fintech, financial services, or other regulated environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing administrative systems and workplace coordination
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced operational environment is highly desirable
  • Strong track record of supporting HR and office systems implementation

Salary

N350,000 - N400,000 monthly, Performance-based incentives linked performance.
