Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly competent HR Manager to lead and strengthen their human resources function. You will act as a strategic partner to the business, responsible for driving human capital initiatives, organizational development, and end-to-end HR operations. The ideal candidate is an expert in structuring HR systems from the ground up and possesses the leadership acumen to scale workforce effectiveness in a high-impact sector.
Requirements:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that are directly aligned with core business objectives and long-term goals.
Systems Architecture: Establish, structure, and continuously optimize HR policies, workflows, and management systems to improve operational efficiency.
Talent Lifecycle: Lead the full talent acquisition pipeline, including workforce planning, strategic onboarding, and proactive retention initiatives.
Performance & Development: Oversee performance management frameworks and curate professional development programs that cultivate internal talent.
Employee Relations: Serve as the primary advisor on disciplinary matters, conflict resolution, and complex employee relations issues.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure total adherence to Nigerian labour laws, industry regulatory requirements, and international HR best practices.
Business Partnering: Work closely with senior leadership to support organizational growth, restructuring, and workforce productivity.
Compensation & Engagement: Manage total rewards, benefits administration, and drive initiatives that foster high employee engagement.
Analytics: Monitor key HR metrics, providing actionable data insights to support executive decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Minimum of a First Degree (BSc/HND) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
Experience: 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a formal leadership or managerial capacity.
Certification: A professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is required.
Sector Expertise: Significant, relevant experience within the Power, Engineering, EPC, Manufacturing, or Construction sectors is essential.
Technical Proficiency: A proven track record in establishing and structuring HR functions and systems.
Competencies: Deep knowledge of organizational development, labor law, and performance management; superior stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
