Job Description:
- We are a fast-growing fintech company seeking an experienced and strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in Lagos.
- In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and play a key part in scaling our business by aligning people strategies with innovation, growth, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership in the region, aligning HR initiatives with regional business goals and directly contributing to the achievement of commercial and operational targets.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop workforce strategies that support revenue growth, productivity, customer satisfaction, and expansion targets across the region.
- Own and drive talent acquisition, performance management, and capability development in line with the specific needs of the business.
- Guide and support leaders in building high-performing teams and nurturing a results-driven, accountable culture.
- Monitor regional people metrics (e.g., attrition, engagement, productivity, hiring velocity) and provide actionable insights to improve business performance.
- Lead strategic manpower planning to ensure critical functions are staffed with the right talent at the right time to meet business demand.
- Manage complex employee relations cases with fairness, consistency, and compliance while balancing business impact and employee experience.
- Design and deliver leadership development programs that build managerial effectiveness and business ownership among regional team leads.
- Proactively identify organizational risks and improvement areas, and implement change management initiatives that enable business agility and scalability.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability aligned with the company's mission.
- Collaborate on company - wide HR initiatives including employee engagement, performance enablement, employer branding, and culture transformation.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and proactively stay ahead of regulatory changes.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Human Resources, or a related field from top University.
- Advanced HR certification (CIPM, SHRM -SCP, SPHRi) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of HRBP experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth, or multinational organization.
- Deep knowledge of HR strategy, labor laws, workforce planning, change management, and talent development.
- Proven ability to influence and coach C-level executives and senior managers with confidence and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex employee relations, organizational changes, and transformation initiatives.
- Strong data literacy with the ability to interpret HR and business data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems and other relevant HR technology tools.
- High emotional intelligence, integrity, and a proactive, solutions -focused mindset.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, driving continuous improvement, and working independently with minimal supervision.
- Having your own laptop is required for this role.
