Job Description:

  • Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to support the effective management of their HR operations in Port Harcourt.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing HR policies, supporting employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labour regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end recruitment and selection processes
  • Coordinate onboarding and induction of new employees
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Assist with performance management and employee engagement initiatives
  • Handle employee relations issues and provide HR advisory support
  • Support payroll processing and statutory compliance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and Nigerian labour laws
  • Assist in organizing trainings, disciplinary processes, and HR reports
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge of HR best practices and Nigerian labour laws
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, or in progress) is an added advantage

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2–4 years relevant HR experience
