Job Description:
We are seeking a technically proficient and highly organized Finance Assistant to support our core financial ecosystem. This role is a critical support function, responsible for the high-volume clerical and data-driven tasks that ensure our financial operations remain accurate, transparent, and audit-ready.
As a Finance Assistant, you will manage the lifecycle of financial documentation—from invoice processing and ledger maintenance to sophisticated reporting using Microsoft Excel. This position is ideal for a mobile professional ready to deploy to our various outstations to maintain consistency in our financial standards across the organization.
Requirements:
1. Ledger Maintenance & Clerical Governance
Data Entry & Integrity: Accurately capture and record financial transactions within the company’s books, ensuring 100% data integrity.
Invoice Lifecycle: Process inbound and outbound invoices, ensuring all documentation is verified, approved, and filed according to statutory requirements.
Record Custodianship: Maintain comprehensive physical and digital archives of all financial records to facilitate seamless internal and external audits.
2. Advanced Excel Operations & Reporting
Spreadsheet Mastery: Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas) to clean, analyze, and present financial data.
Assisted Reporting: Support the Finance Manager in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial summaries and budget-to-actual variance reports.
Trend Analysis: Monitor daily expense patterns and provide data-driven insights to management to support cost-control initiatives.
3. Outstation Support & Compliance
Regional Deployment: Be open to relocation and posting to various company outstations, ensuring that decentralized units adhere to headquarters' financial protocols.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all regional financial activities comply with organizational policies, tax laws, and local regulations.
Cash Management: Assist in the reconciliation of outstation petty cash and bank records to ensure liquid assets are fully accounted for.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Gender: Male candidates are preferred (for organizational balancing and outstation requirements).
Technical Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory. Candidates will be tested on data manipulation and formula logic.
Flexibility: Must be fully open to relocation and working from outstation locations as required by the business.
Education: Minimum of an OND/HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
