Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Tailor to join our team in Abuja. In this role, you will be responsible for bringing garment designs to life, from taking precise client measurements to the final fitting. Requirements:

• Precision Measurement & Fitting: Take accurate body measurements and perform professional fittings to ensure garments meet client specifications and comfort standards.

• Garment Construction: Expertly cut, sew, and assemble garments based on provided patterns or custom design concepts.

• Alterations & Repairs: Provide high-quality clothing alterations, including hemming, resizing, and patching, maintaining the integrity of the original design.

• Design Interpretation: Translate fashion sketches or design ideas into tangible, finished products.

• Material Selection: Advise on and select the most appropriate fabrics, threads, and tailoring materials for specific garment types.

• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all sewing machines, cutting tools, and pressing equipment are properly maintained and in good working order.

• Quality Control: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and consistently meet project deadlines while ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate (SSCE). A formal certificate or diploma in Tailoring, Fashion Design, or a related vocational field is a significant advantage.

• Experience: Proven professional experience as a Tailor or Seamstress, with 3 to 10 years of hands-on work in the field.

• Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in both hand-sewing and machine-sewing techniques.

  • Strong knowledge of professional garment construction methods.

  • Expertise in pattern making and fabric manipulation.

• Operational Skills: Competency in using industrial sewing machines, precision cutting tools, and professional pressing/steaming equipment.

• Professionalism: Ability to manage time effectively to meet production schedules while maintaining superior attention to detail.
