Job Description:
We are seeking a visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to architect and oversee the day-to-day operations of our hospital system. In a healthcare environment, operational excellence isn't just about efficiency—it’s about saving lives. You will partner with the CEO to translate high-level organizational vision into a high-performing medical reality.
Your mission is to lead a multidisciplinary ecosystem of clinical and administrative executives, from Doctors and Laboratory Scientists to support staff. You will be responsible for building the scalable systems and robust compliance frameworks that ensure our hospital remains a leader in medical innovation and patient trust. If you are a strategic leader who can balance "human-first" healthcare with "data-driven" operational rigor, we want you to lead our growth.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Leadership & Vision Execution
Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with the CEO to define the organizational roadmap, ensuring that every operational goal aligns with our long-term vision.
Tactical Translation: Turn broad strategy into actionable departmental plans with clear KPIs and aggressive timelines.
Performance Intelligence: Monitor hospital-wide performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks and recommending data-backed improvements.
2. Clinical & Operational Excellence
Ecosystem Oversight: Direct the daily operations of all clinical departments (Doctors, Lab, Nursing) to ensure a seamless "Patient Journey."
Process Scalability: Develop and implement standardized Operating Procedures (SOPs) that ensure consistency of care across the hospital.
Resource Optimization: Lead cross-functional teams to maximize facility utilization and staff productivity without compromising clinical quality.
3. Human Capital & High-Performance Culture
Culture Architect: Foster an environment of accountability and innovation, ensuring all staff are aligned with the hospital’s mission and values.
Talent Development: Lead organizational succession planning and high-potential talent development to ensure leadership continuity.
Accountability Frameworks: Implement performance management systems that reward excellence and drive continuous improvement in medical service delivery.
4. Risk Management & Medico-Legal Compliance
Regulatory Governance: Ensure 100% compliance with national and local medical regulations and medico-legal standards across all departments.
Risk Mitigation: Implement robust internal controls and policies to manage clinical and organizational risk proactively.
Business Continuity: Develop and maintain world-class crisis management and business continuity plans to ensure the hospital remains operational during emergencies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Pedigree
Experience: Extensive experience in a senior leadership role (COO, Operations Director, or Hospital Administrator) within a large-scale healthcare or hospital system.
Educational Background: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), MBA, or a medical degree with advanced management certification is highly preferred.
Regulatory IQ: Deep knowledge of national healthcare laws, medical ethics, and quality assurance protocols.
Core Competencies
Strategic Logic: Ability to translate abstract vision into complex, cross-functional clinical workflows.
Leadership Grit: Proven ability to manage high-stakes professional teams (Doctors/Specialists) and foster collaboration.
