Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and technically-minded Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our ice production facility. This role is responsible for the entire value chain—from ensuring machine uptime and hygiene standards to managing staff and coordinating timely distribution to customers. You will be the lead supervisor on-site, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently while maintaining the integrity of our equipment and financial records. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can troubleshoot mechanical issues and manage a fast-paced team with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

1. Production & Quality Excellence

• Daily Operations: Oversee the full production cycle of ice cubes, ensuring that daily output targets are met to satisfy market demand.

• Hygiene & Standards: Enforce strict quality control and hygiene protocols to ensure all products meet food-grade safety standards.

• Maintenance Oversight: Take direct responsibility for the upkeep of generators, industrial freezers, and ice-making machines, ensuring preventive maintenance to avoid downtime.

2. Logistics & Supply Chain Management

• Inventory Control: Manage stock levels of packaging materials, water supplies, and finished goods, ensuring zero stockouts.

• Distribution & Orders: Handle customer orders with professional tact, managing the dispatch schedule to ensure timely delivery and resolving any complaints efficiently.

• Staff Supervision: Manage work schedules, performance, and discipline for the production and delivery team.

3. Financial & Operational Reporting

• Financial Oversight: Monitor daily sales, track operational expenses, and maintain accurate basic financial records.

• Reporting: Provide regular updates to management on production efficiency, fuel consumption (for generators), and sales trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Academic: Minimum of OND, HND, or B.Sc. degree.

• Industry Context: Previous experience in Manufacturing, Cold Room operations, Water treatment, or Ice production is a significant advantage.

• Location: Must reside in or around Fagba, Iju, Agege, or very close neighboring areas.

Core Competencies

• Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team and maintain order in a high-activity environment.

• Technical Awareness: Basic understanding of machine maintenance (generators and cooling systems).

• Self-Direction: Ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision.

• Organization: Strong record-keeping skills and attention to detail in inventory and sales tracking.
