Job Description:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and contribute to the overall business strategy and growth objectives.
  • Partner with executive management to identify business opportunities, assess financial risks, and drive sustainable profitability.
  • Support long-term financial forecasting, capital structure optimization, and investment strategy.

 

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with IFRS and other applicable standards.
  • Ensure effective internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance frameworks are in place and maintained.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and performance reporting.
  • Present financial performance reports and recommendations to the CEO, Board, and relevant committees.

 

Treasury & Risk Management:

  • Oversee cash flow management, working capital optimization, and liquidity planning.
  • Develop and implement strategies for managing financial risks, including foreign exchange, credit, and market exposure.
  • Maintain effective relationships with financial institutions, investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

 

Corporate Governance & Compliance:

  • Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, tax obligations, and corporate governance principles.
  • Supervise internal and external audit processes, ensuring accountability and transparency.
  • Provide leadership in developing and maintaining a culture of financial integrity and ethical practice across the organization.

 

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to ensure alignment between financial goals and business operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • An MBA is an advantage
  • A fellow /Associate member in a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, CISA or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a CFO capacity.
