Job Description:
- The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth within Nigeria’s oil and gas value chain.
- The ideal candidate must possess a strong technical understanding of the industry, excellent networking ability, and a proven track record of closing deals in oilfield or energy-related services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead proposal and tender development processes — from bid preparation to presentation.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitors, and partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to align business proposals with service delivery capabilities.
- Prepare regular business performance reports and forecasts for management review.
- Represent company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events.
Requirements:
- B.Sc./HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ proven experience in business development, marketing, or commercial roles in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Demonstrable understanding of oilfield services, project bidding, and client acquisition in the energy sector.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and market intelligence abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel within and outside Nigeria as business demands.
