Job Description:
We are seeking a high-energy, result-oriented Business Development Officer to drive our credit expansion in Jabi, Abuja. In this role, you are the engine of our revenue. Your mission is to identify viable loan opportunities, educate the market on our financial products, and build a high-quality portfolio of borrowers.
As a Business Development Officer, you bridge the gap between our capital and the needs of entrepreneurs and professionals in Abuja. You will be responsible for the full sales lifecycle—from initial prospecting and basic credit assessment to relationship management and reporting. If you have a "hunter" mindset and the ability to meet ambitious targets under pressure, we want you on our team.
Requirements:
1. Market Penetration & Client Acquisition
Direct Sourcing: Identify and onboard new loan clients through structured networking, field marketing, and digital outreach within the Jabi business hub.
Product Advocacy: Market and promote the company’s diverse loan products, clearly articulating value propositions and repayment structures.
Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly disbursement and client acquisition targets to drive regional business growth.
2. Relationship Management & Credit Assessment
Strategic Advisory: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor for their financial needs.
Preliminary Triage: Conduct basic client assessments, verifying documentation and evaluating creditworthiness based on company protocols.
Portfolio Health: Support the business by ensuring a basic understanding of the recovery process and maintaining open lines of communication with borrowers.
3. Reporting & Professionalism
Data Stewardship: Submit regular sales and performance reports, providing management with insights into market trends and competitor activities.
Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the company professionally at all times, ensuring all interactions align with our corporate image and ethical standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc in any discipline.
Experience: Proven experience in loan marketing, retail sales, or business development is a significant advantage.
Location IQ: Deep familiarity with the business landscape in Jabi and Central Abuja.
Core Competencies
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to simplify complex financial terms for clients.
Resilience: Highly motivated and target-driven; ability to remain productive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Analytical Skills: Basic knowledge of loan products, interest calculations, and the credit recovery lifecycle.
