Job Description:
Glovo is seeking a visionary, growth-obsessed Head of Account Management to lead our high-stakes partnerships in Nigeria. This is a "P&L Ownership" role where you will manage the commercial health and strategic trajectory of the country’s most influential restaurant brands. You won't just be managing a team; you will be architecting the future of food delivery commerce—designing advertising strategies, scaling operations sustainably, and ensuring Glovo is the undisputed platform of choice. If you are a data-driven leader with a bias for action and the charisma to influence C-level partners, we want you to lead our commercial "ride."
Requirements:
1. Commercial Strategy & P&L Ownership
Revenue Architecture: Shape and execute the long-term commercial strategy, including data-led partner segmentation, promotional frameworks, and scaled advertising strategies.
P&L Management: Own the bottom line for Glovo’s top-tier partners, ensuring healthy margins while driving aggressive Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) growth.
Ad-Tech Integration: Drive partner investment in advertising, optimizing for Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) to create a win-win ecosystem for partners and the platform.
2. Strategic Partner Excellence
C-Level Negotiation: Lead high-stakes negotiations and foster relationships with the owners and executives of Nigeria’s biggest restaurant chains.
Retention & Expansion: Act as the ultimate champion for our partners, ensuring long-term retention and coordinating geographical expansion into new territories.
Market Intelligence: Constantly monitor competitor landscapes to ensure Glovo remains ahead of the edge in value proposition and service delivery.
3. Leadership & Operational Rigor
People First: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of 8+ Account Managers and Seniors, coaching them to transform from relationship managers into commercial strategists.
Process Standardization: Set the "Gold Standard" for account management practices, implementing data-driven workflows that reduce friction and increase partner satisfaction.
Bias for Action: Find smart, multidisciplinary solutions to complex operational challenges, maintaining a hands-on spirit and a relentless focus on deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Pedigree
High-Octane Background: Significant experience in fast-paced environments (e.g., Investment Banking, Top-Tier Consulting, or Big Tech).
Leadership Track Record: Proven experience leading commercial or cross-functional teams of 5+ people.
Data Mastery: A data-driven mentality—making decisions rooted in analytics while maintaining sharp business judgment.
