Job Description:
Content Creation & Strategy (60%)
- Create compelling, authentic content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter that speaks directly to immigrant communities
- Develop and execute a content calendar that balances educational content, community stories, user-generated content, and platform updates
- Produce short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) that simplifies complex immigration topics and showcases user success stories
- Write engaging copy in multiple formats: captions, carousel posts, newsletters, blog posts, and scripts
- Design eye-catching graphics using Canva, Capcut or similar tools that align with our warm, inclusive brand
Community Engagement (25%)
- Build and nurture our online community by responding to comments, DMs, and engaging with followers authentically
- Monitor social conversations about immigration, settlement, and diaspora topics to identify trending opportunities.
Analytics & Optimization (15%)
- Track and analyze performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions, follower growth) across all platforms
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience creating content for social media (agency, in-house, freelance, or even strong personal brand building)
- English proficiency with exceptional copywriting skills
- Proven ability to create engaging short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories) that performs well
- Proficiency in content creation tools: Canva, CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Basic graphic design skills and an eye for visual storytelling
- Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret analytics and adjust strategy
- Self-starter mentality who thrives in fast-paced startup environments with minimal supervision
- Portfolio or examples of social media content you've created (please include links in your application)
- Deep empathy and cultural sensitivity—you understand the immigrant experience and can speak authentically to diverse audiences
- Creative problem-solver who can create compelling content even with limited resources
