Job Description:

We are looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Officer to lead our digital presence and community engagement. In this role, you will be the primary voice of our brand across all social platforms, responsible for crafting compelling narratives that resonate with our audience in Lagos and beyond. You will blend high-quality content creation with technical Social Media Optimization (SMO) to maximize reach and drive meaningful engagement. As a key member of the marketing team, you will use data-driven insights to refine our strategy and ensure our brand remains at the cutting edge of digital trends.

Requirements:

1. Content Architecture & Brand Storytelling

  • Multichannel Content: Conceptualize and produce high-quality, engaging content (visual and written) tailored for platforms like Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

  • Copywriting: Craft persuasive and on-brand copy that drives action and fosters a unique digital identity.

  • Consistency: Maintain a unified brand voice and visual aesthetic across all digital touchpoints.

2. Marketing Strategy & Optimization (SMO)

  • Platform Optimization: Implement advanced Social Media Optimization (SMO) techniques to enhance profile visibility and organic searchability.

  • Growth Strategy: Execute social media marketing campaigns designed to increase follower growth, website traffic, and community loyalty.

  • Trend Integration: Proactively identify and leverage viral trends and platform updates to keep the brand relevant.

3. Analytics & Community Engagement

  • Audience Interaction: Maintain consistent, high-energy communication with our audience, managing comments and inquiries with professional flair.

  • Data Interpretation: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) using analytics tools to track reach, engagement, and conversion.

  • Strategic Reporting: Translate raw data into actionable insights and weekly performance reports for the wider team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Technical & Creative Skills

  • Content Mastery: Proven proficiency in social media content creation, including basic graphic design and video editing skills.

  • Marketing Knowledge: Hands-on experience with social media marketing strategies and optimization techniques.

  • Analytical Prowess: Ability to use native and third-party analytics tools to measure campaign success.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration and audience management.

Professional Background

  • Experience: Relevant experience in Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Adaptability: A creative mindset with the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment (Lagos-based).

  • Education: A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
