Job Description:

We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Sales Merchandiser / Secondary Sales Representative to act as our primary brand ambassador at the retail level. In this role, you will be responsible for the "Last Mile" of our sales strategy—ensuring our products are not only visible but dominate the shelf. You will drive secondary sales by building strong relationships with retailers, supporting our distributors to clear their inventory, and executing world-class merchandising standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive "field-first" professional who understands that product visibility directly translates to revenue growth.

Requirements:

1. Visual Merchandising & Brand Dominance

  • Shelf Mastery: Execute high-impact merchandising activities across assigned outlets, ensuring our products are displayed at eye level and in high-traffic zones.

  • Branding Excellence: Deploy and maintain Point-of-Sale (POS) materials, banners, and branded assets to ensure maximum brand recall.

  • Visibility Standards: Rigorously enforce company planograms and merchandising standards to maintain a premium brand image.

2. Secondary Sales & Distributor Support

  • Retailer Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with retailers to secure preferred shelf space and drive consistent secondary sales (sell-out).

  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels at retail points to prevent "Out-of-Stock" (OOS) scenarios and ensure timely replenishment from distributors.

  • Target Alignment: Support distributors in achieving their daily and monthly volume targets by stimulating demand at the retail end of the chain.

3. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Field Analytics: Collect and report real-time market intelligence, including pricing trends, competitor activations, and consumer feedback.

  • Daily Performance Tracking: Maintain accurate daily reports of sales activities, route coverage, and store-level stock health.

  • Territory Optimization: Leverage your knowledge of the Lekki sales routes (and environs) to maximize store visit frequency and route efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Academic: Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in any discipline.

  • Tenure: 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, secondary sales, or FMCG field sales.

  • Local Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Lekki sales routes and surrounding market hubs is a distinct advantage.

Core Competencies

  • Resilience: Ability to work under pressure, manage long field hours, and consistently meet sales targets.

  • Communication: Exceptional customer engagement skills with the ability to influence retail owners.

  • Analytical Mindset: Basic ability to interpret stock data and identify market gaps.
