  • Hazard Identification: Proactively identify physical, chemical, and biological hazards, recommending immediate and long-term corrective actions.

  • PPE Governance: Monitor the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce strict staff compliance across all high-risk areas.

Incident Investigation & Emergency Response

  • Emergency Readiness: Coordinate emergency response procedures, conduct regular fire/evacuation drills, and ensure first-aid kits and stations are fully equipped and operational.

  • Advisory: Provide management with data-driven advice on SHE improvements, resource allocation, and compliance matters.

Training & Culture

  • Safety Education: Organize and facilitate safety training sessions, induction programs, and daily Toolbox Talks for site workers and contractors.

  • Culture Promotion: Actively promote a positive safety culture, encouraging staff to report hazards and participate in safety committees.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer within an industrial, construction, or manufacturing environment.
