Job Description:

We are seeking a highly proactive and experienced Purchasing Officer to oversee our end-to-end procurement operations. As a vital link between our operational needs and the supply market, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials, negotiating cost-effective terms, and ensuring that our supply chain remains uninterrupted. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in logistics and vendor management, specifically suited for a fast-paced technical or industrial environment.

Requirements:

• Strategic Sourcing: Source and procure essential materials, equipment, and operational supplies, ensuring all items meet quality and technical standards.

• Vendor Management: Identify, vet, and maintain relationships with reliable vendors. You will lead negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and optimized delivery schedules.

• Procurement Documentation: Manage the end-to-end purchase process, including preparing quotations, processing purchase orders (POs), and maintaining exhaustive procurement records.

• Inventory & Replenishment: Monitor stock levels closely and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent shortages or overstocking.

• Logistics Tracking: Track orders from inception to site delivery, resolving any supply chain disruptions, delays, or quality issues promptly.

• Cost Optimization: Conduct ongoing market research to identify alternative suppliers and cost-saving opportunities, directly supporting the company’s bottom line.

• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities strictly adhere to internal policies, safety standards, and operational protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven professional experience in a Purchasing or Procurement role.

• Industry Preference: Experience in telecommunications, engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure, or technical operations is highly preferred.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) for data analysis and reporting.

• Key Skills: Exceptional negotiation capabilities, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to juggle multiple high-priority timelines simultaneously.

• Location Requirement: Candidates must reside within or around the Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ).
