Job Description:
We are seeking a commercially astute and result-oriented Procurement Officer to lead our sourcing and vendor management initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, ensuring that all goods and services particularly technical and project-related requirements are delivered on time and within budget. You will act as a strategic negotiator, balancing cost-efficiency with high-quality standards to support our fast-paced operational needs.
The ideal candidate is a proactive professional with a strong understanding of technical specifications and the ability to manage complex bidding processes in a project-driven environment.
Requirements:
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
Sourcing Excellence: Identify, evaluate, and engage a robust network of reliable suppliers and contractors.
Technical Procurement: Source specialized technical services, including installation, industrial maintenance, and complex logistics solutions.
Bidding Management: Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs); manage the full tendering process from selection to contract finalization.
Vendor Management & Negotiation
Relationship Building: Maintain high-trust relationships with vendors while conducting regular performance evaluations and engagement forums.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to drive maximum value.
Compliance: Ensure all vendors adhere to company standards, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Operations & Order Management
PO Execution: Prepare and process purchase orders accurately within the system, ensuring seamless tracking of all deliveries.
Supply Chain Continuity: Resolve procurement bottlenecks, including delays, shortages, or discrepancies in delivered goods.
Inventory Liaison: Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure the availability of critical project materials.
Compliance & Technical Support
Documentation: Maintain meticulous records for audit readiness and internal reporting.
Technical Alignment: Collaborate with internal engineering and project departments to ensure all procured materials meet exact technical specifications.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in procurement, specifically within a technical, industrial, or project-based environment.
Technical & Professional Skills
Negotiation: Exceptional ability to drive cost savings and manage vendor contracts.
Analytical Skills: Strong market research abilities to monitor pricing trends and competitive landscapes.
Software: Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Core Competencies
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve supply chain disruptions quickly and effectively.
Organization: Exceptional time management skills with the ability to handle multiple RFQs simultaneously.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing technical specifications and contract terms.
