Job Description:
We are seeking a disciplined and highly organized Store Keeper to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of our inventory. This role is essential for maintaining operational flow, ensuring that all materials and products are received, stored, and issued with 100% accuracy. You will be the primary guardian of the company’s physical assets, responsible for preventing stock loss and maintaining a transparent, auditable record of all movements.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with strong numerical skills and the integrity required to manage high-value inventory in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
Inventory Control & Management
Receiving & Inspection: Oversee the receipt of all incoming materials and goods, conducting thorough inspections to verify quality and quantity against delivery documents.
Storage Optimization: Ensure all items are stored securely and logically to maximize space, guarantee safety, and allow for rapid identification.
Issuance: Process the issuance of materials and products strictly based on approved requisitions to ensure accountability.
Labeling & Arrangement: Maintain a systematic labeling and shelving system to ensure the store remains professional, organized, and easy to navigate.
Record Keeping & Reporting
Data Accuracy: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date stock records using both manual ledgers and computerized systems.
Stock Audits: Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with digital records to identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.
Level Monitoring: Monitor inventory thresholds to proactively report stock shortages, excesses, or slow-moving items to management.
Loss Prevention & Maintenance
Asset Protection: Implement strict measures to prevent stock loss, theft, or damage.
Quality Preservation: Monitor storage conditions to ensure goods are protected from environmental factors or improper handling.
Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the store or warehouse at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Minimum of an OND in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: * 2–4 years of professional experience in a storekeeping or warehouse management role.
Previous experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment is considered a significant added advantage.
Technical Skills:
Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or modern inventory management software (ERP).
Logistics: Basic but solid knowledge of inventory management principles (e.g., FIFO, LIFO).
Core Competencies:
Numerical Accuracy: Strong mathematical skills for precise record-keeping and reconciliations.
Integrity: A high level of personal accountability and honesty in handling physical assets.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to inspecting goods and maintaining documentation.
Salary
