Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Operations Manager to serve as the engine behind our thriving online brand in Abuja. In e-commerce, the customer’s experience begins the moment they click "Buy" and ends only when they are satisfied with their delivery. Your mission is to own that entire journey.

You will oversee the complete backend of our retail business—from sophisticated product sourcing and inventory forecasting to warehouse optimization and last-mile delivery. We need a leader who can build a scalable, efficient infrastructure that ensures every order is accurate and on time while protecting our bottom line. Requirements:

1. Supply Chain & Logistics Orchestration

  • Network Management: Lead and optimize relationships with 3PL providers, international shipping carriers, and packaging vendors to ensure a resilient supply chain.

  • Global Logistics: Navigate the complexities of cross-border shipping and customs to ensure seamless international product sourcing.

  • Fulfillment Excellence: Continuous refinement of the "pick-pack-ship" workflow to increase speed and accuracy while aggressively reducing the "cost per order."

2. Predictive Inventory & Data Governance

  • Inventory Science: Oversee all SKUs using predictive forecasting to set precise reorder points, effectively eliminating stockouts and minimizing capital tied up in overstock.

  • Technical Integration: Manage the operational side of our e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify), ensuring product listings are optimized and backend ERP/Order Management Systems are synchronized.

  • KPI Stewardship: Track and report on critical operational metrics: Order Accuracy Rate, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Inventory Turnover.

3. Operational Quality & Customer Success

  • Net Promoter Score (NPS): Partner with Customer Support to streamline the returns and refunds process, turning potential friction points into loyalty-building experiences.

  • SOP Architecture: Develop and document robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent quality as the brand scales.

  • Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to identify bottlenecks and implement systemic solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3–5 years in e-commerce or FMCG operations. Proven experience in scaling a high-growth retail environment is essential.

  • Tech Stack: Hands-on mastery of Shopify, ERP systems, and Order Management Systems.

  • Expertise: Expert-level data analysis and project management skills.

Core Competencies

  • Strategic Vision: Ability to see the "big picture" while staying grounded in the technical details of a shipment or a technical glitch.

  • Agility: The resilience to troubleshoot technical issues and logistical delays in real-time.

  • Leadership: Ability to collaborate across IT, Marketing, and Customer Support to create a unified operational front.
