We make calls to customers to pay their outstanding debts, send messages to customers, Guide customers through the payment process, persuade reluctant customers to make payment promptly, meet weekly and monthly targets, and give proper and correct reports of work.
We build a professional team with experienced collectors for every loan agency, using SMS, calls, emails, and various social media platforms to remind and encourage overdue customers to make repayments. Co-matrix provides financial solutions by helping loan companies recover bad debts.
Job Description:
We are seeking a persistent, persuasive, and professional Debt Recovery & Collections Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers with outstanding balances. Your goal is to balance firmness with empathy, guiding customers through the repayment process while ensuring the company meets its financial targets. This is an ideal role for a high-energy individual with excellent communication skills who thrives in a target-driven environment and is looking to build a career in finance or client management.
Requirements:
1. Active Debt Recovery & Negotiation
Outbound Engagement: Make high-volume calls and send professional messages to customers regarding their outstanding debts.
Persuasive Negotiation: Use strategic communication to persuade reluctant customers to settle their accounts promptly while maintaining a positive brand relationship.
Solution Orientation: Identify the reasons behind payment delays and offer guidance on available payment methods and processes.
2. Portfolio Management & Targets
Target Achievement: Work diligently to meet and exceed weekly and monthly recovery targets as set by the management.
Payment Guidance: Walk customers through digital or physical payment portals, ensuring they understand how to complete their transactions successfully.
3. Reporting & Documentation
Data Integrity: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions, payment promises, and successful recoveries.
Performance Reporting: Submit correct and comprehensive daily/weekly reports on work progress, collections made, and challenging accounts.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Qualification: Relevant degree or diploma (B.Sc., HND, or OND) in any field.
Experience: 0 – 1 year of experience. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the right attitude and "hunger" for results.
Core Competencies
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Persuasion Skills: A natural ability to influence and negotiate with different types of personalities.
Resilience: A "thick skin" and the emotional intelligence to handle difficult conversations without losing focus.
Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in mobile communication tools and simple reporting software (MS Excel or Google Sheets).
