We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • As the Lead HR Business Partner, you’ll be a core member of the leadership team, working directly with executives to align HR strategy with business goals.
  • You’ll lead the HRBP function and mentor a small team, while also acting as a trusted advisor to business units on talent, culture, performance, and organizational development.
  • We're looking for a proactive leader — someone with the foresight to anticipate people challenges, the confidence to influence leadership, and the executional power to drive change.

Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Partner with senior leadership to design and execute HR strategies that support business objectives and growth.
  • Provide strategic input on organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Lead HR-related change management initiatives across the business.

People & Culture Champion:

  • Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and values-driven culture.
  • Implement initiatives that boost employee engagement, retention, and motivation.
  • Own and evolve company-wide performance management frameworks.

Business Partnering:

  • Support department heads in developing team capabilities and solving complex people issues.
  • Use data and insights to influence decisions around productivity, people planning, and leadership development.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers on talent matters and team effectiveness.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage, coach, and develop HR Business Partners and Specialists, ensuring alignment and growth.
  • Drive HR operations excellence, compliance, and delivery through your team.

Policy & Compliance:

  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are up-to-date, legally compliant, and effectively implemented.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex employee relations issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or HR Certification is a strong plus – e.g., CIPM, SHRM, PHR).
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience & Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ progressive HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior HRBP or HR leadership role, preferably in fintech, tech, or fast-paced industries.
  • Strong experience in HR strategy, performance management, talent development, and employee engagement.
  • Proven ability to work with leadership and influence at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing HR teams.
