Job Description:
We are seeking a high-precision Land Surveyor to lead the geospatial and mapping requirements for our real estate development and construction portfolio. In this role, you will be the technical foundation of our projects, ensuring that every boundary, elevation, and structural layout is established with absolute accuracy. You will bridge the gap between raw terrain and architectural vision, utilizing advanced tools like GPS, GIS, and Total Stations to guide our engineering and construction teams. The ideal candidate blends technical expertise in AutoCAD/Civil 3D with a deep understanding of land law and topographic analysis.
Requirements:
1. Geospatial Surveying & Mapping
Technical Execution: Conduct comprehensive topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using high-precision GPS, GIS, and Total Station equipment.
Benchmark Establishment: Define and set critical reference points and benchmarks that will guide the entire construction lifecycle.
UAV & Advanced Mapping: Leverage modern surveying technology, including drones where applicable, to create detailed site layouts and measurement reports.
2. Data Engineering & Digital Modeling
CAD Integration: Transform field data into detailed survey drawings, charts, and 3D digital models using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Verification & Due Diligence: Rigorously verify land titles, easements, and boundaries against legal records to prevent encroachment or zoning violations.
Cross-Functional Advisory: Provide precise data interpretations to project managers, architects, and structural engineers to inform design decisions.
3. On-Site Construction Support & Compliance
Structural Alignment: Provide on-site guidance during excavation and foundation stages to ensure all structures comply with design elevations and positioning.
Regulatory Liaison: Coordinate with government agencies to ensure surveys meet local zoning laws and assist in obtaining necessary land documentation and permits.
Quality Assurance: Monitor survey controls throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting for any shifts to maintain structural compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Technical Expertise
Instruments: Mastery of GPS, Total Station, Theodolite, and GIS tools.
Software: High proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for generating digital survey models.
Analysis: Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills for high-stakes precision measurements.
Experience & Academic Background
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering.
Tenure: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in land surveying, specifically within real estate or construction.
Certification: Professional licensure or certification as a Land Surveyor is highly preferred.
