Job Description:
- The Junior Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial and project teams in cost estimation, measurement, and financial management of construction projects.
- This role is suitable for a graduate or entry-level Quantity Surveyor seeking practical experience in project costing and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents.
- Take site measurements and prepare quantity take-offs.
- Support cost control, budgeting, and expenditure tracking for projects.
- Assist in preparing valuations, progress reports, and final accounts.
- Help monitor variations and claims under the supervision of a senior QS.
- Liaise with site teams, contractors, and suppliers as required.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of project costs.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of construction costing and contract administration.
- Familiarity with QS software and Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn and ability to work in a team environment.
- Good communication and numerical skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Graduate Quantity Surveyor (NYSC pending or completed).
