Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and technical valuation of our ongoing projects. In this role, you will be the primary link between site execution and financial reporting. This position requires a professional who can translate complex engineering drawings into detailed cost reports and maintain the integrity of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Work Valuation: Conduct monthly valuations of work completed on-site, ensuring that payment applications reflect actual progress.

  • Progress Reporting: Liaise with site engineers to synthesize field data into comprehensive monthly progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.

  • Material Accounting: Collaborate with procurement and store officers to reconcile materials on-site versus off-site, integrating these figures into the overall project valuation.

2. Technical Oversight & Compliance

  • Site Verification: Conduct regular site inspections to audit ongoing works against technical specifications and the Contract Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

  • Drawing Interpretation: Analyze and interpret engineering drawings to verify that site execution aligns with the original project scope.

  • Change Management: Diligently track all change order requests, ensuring they are documented and approved by consultants before execution to prevent cost overruns.

3. Project Controls & Coordination

  • Timeline Management: Coordinate data from multiple project sites simultaneously, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met without compromising accuracy.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a technical bridge between site teams, procurement, and external consultants to resolve discrepancies in project cost or scope.

  • Attention to Detail: A high degree of accuracy in mathematical calculations and data reconciliation.

Professional Attributes

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, or Civil Engineering.
