Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and structurally elite Internal Audit & Control expert to anchor the governance engine of our Lagos-based operations. In a specialized financial landscape where institutional stability is dictated by the speed of risk detection and the precision of CBN Ratio Reporting success is defined by "Systemic Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize financial accounting with the clinical precision required for Credit Portfolio Reviews, KYC Validation, and Regulatory Oversights. This role is designed for a "Governance Architect" with at least 5 years of experience who can blend "Analytical Grit" (conducting deep-dive audit reporting and closure) with the "Strategic Agility" required to attain visible, measurable process improvements in a hybrid work environment.

Requirements:

1. Orchestration & Compliance Governance

• Regulatory Sovereignty: Conduct regulatory and compliance oversights with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Statutory Alignment."

• Audit Architecture: Engineer rigorous checks for KYC, expenditures, and internal processes, providing the "Structural Foundation" for a leak-proof control environment.

• Integrity Stewardship: Ensure 100% adherence to CBN stipulated ratios and standards, ensuring the "Source of Institutional Credibility" is elite and uncompromised.

2. Tactical Resilience & Risk Logic

• Portfolio Sovereignty: Conduct clinical credit and portfolio reviews, acting as the primary "Source of Asset Safeguarding."

• Improvement Architecture: Recommend reviews and bridge compliance gaps in existing procedures, providing the "Functional Foundation" for visible and measurable process optimization.

• Closure Stewardship: Manage the follow-up and closure of financial, operational, and regulatory deficiencies, maintaining the "Source of Risk Mitigation."

3. Operational Integrity & Communication Power

• Stakeholder Sovereignty: Adequately communicate changes in internal processes to users and stakeholders, acting as the primary "Source of Operational Clarity."

• Digital Architecture: Utilize Core Banking Solutions and Microsoft Office to analyze and report on financial health, providing the "Relational Foundation" for data-driven board decisions.

• Velocity Logic: Utilize MCIB certification and Microfinance expertise to resolve audit roadblocks in real-time, maximizing the "Source of Governance Throughput."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Certification: Must be CIBN certified (MCIB) along with other role-relevant certifications.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in internal control, audit, and compliance.

• Sector Power: Mandatory experience in a Microfinance Bank with a deep understanding of CBN guidelines and reporting.
