Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Hotel Manager to lead our property to new heights of excellence in Port Harcourt. In this role, you are more than an administrator; you are the architect of the guest experience and the guardian of our brand’s reputation. You will oversee every facet of the hotel—from financial engineering and staff leadership to high-level strategic planning.
The ideal candidate is a Port Harcourt resident with a deep local network and at least 7 years of hospitality experience. You must possess the financial acumen to optimize revenue in a competitive market and the emotional intelligence to lead a diverse, high-performing team.
Requirements:
1. Operational Excellence & Guest Experience
Service Standards: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards across all departments (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping).
Guest Centricity: Ensure the delivery of world-class guest experiences, personally overseeing the resolution of complex feedback and complaints to build long-term loyalty.
Daily Synergy: Streamline daily operations to ensure a frictionless flow between the back-of-house logistics and front-of-house service.
2. Financial Stewardship & Revenue Management
Budget Governance: Direct the preparation and management of departmental budgets, ensuring strict cost control and resource optimization.
Revenue Strategy: Analyze financial reports and market trends to implement pricing and promotional strategies that maximize RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room).
Procurement & Vendors: Oversee vendor relationships and service contracts to ensure high-quality supply chains at competitive rates.
3. Leadership, Safety & Compliance
Team Development: Lead recruitment, training, and performance management, fostering a culture of professional discipline and hospitality passion.
HSE & Security: Ensure 100% compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining robust emergency and security protocols.
Stakeholder Diplomacy: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to build relationships with corporate partners and key local clients.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Local Experience: Minimum of 7 years in hotel management, with at least 3 years in a management role within a Port Harcourt hotel.
Residency: Must currently reside in Port Harcourt.
Technical IQ: High proficiency in modern Property Management Systems (PMS) and financial reporting tools.
