Job Description:

We are seeking a high-precision and analytically rigorous Health and Safety Analyst to anchor our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) department in Onne. In a heavy industrial and maritime hub, success is defined by "Predictive Prevention", the ability to harmonize field inspections with advanced statistical trends to neutralize risks before they manifest. This role is designed for a "Safety Architect" with 5 years of cognate experience who can blend "Technical HSE Engineering" with the "Analytical Rigor" required to manage ISO audits and complex incident investigations.

Your mission is to ensure "Absolute Regulatory Compliance and Operational Resilience." You will be the primary engine of safety intelligence: responsible for analyzing monitoring results, driving the Permit to Work (PTW) administration, and ensuring our facilities adhere to international ISO 14001 and 45001 standards. If you possess "In-depth Knowledge of HSE Laws," a background in Engineering, and a mastery of SAP and HSE IT tools, we want you to drive our safety sovereignty.

Requirements:

1. Hazard Architecture & Risk Governance

  • Risk Synthesis: Lead the systematic identification, assessment, and control of physical and environmental hazards within the Onne facility.

  • PTW Administration: Oversee the Permit to Work system, ensuring all high-risk activities are governed by strict safety protocols and documentation.

  • Emergency Management: Support the design and execution of emergency response plans and drills to ensure "Zero-Harm" readiness.

2. Data Analytics & Performance Intelligence

  • Statistical Modeling: Analyze monitoring results, safety statistics, and incident trends to develop actionable improvement plans and periodic reporting.

  • IT Optimization: Follow up on the rigorous application of company IT tools and SAP to ensure safety data integrity and real-time tracking.

  • Training Engineering: Participate in and support the development of high-impact HSE training programs to elevate the safety culture across all tiers.

3. Compliance Stewardship & Audit Leadership

  • Audit Governance: Lead and participate in the company’s internal HSE audit program, ensuring adherence to ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety).

  • Regulatory Diplomacy: Ensure absolute compliance with all local and international laws, Tenaris policies, and management standards.

  • Committee Leadership: Participate in and provide technical insights during HESA committee meetings and stakeholder reviews.

4. Stakeholder & Project Synergy

  • Client Engagement: Support and assist clients by analyzing their specific safety requirements and implementing necessary procedural changes.

  • Asset Protection: Ensure the protection of physical resources, equipment, and facilities from damage, theft, or misuse through strict site surveillance and reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: First Degree in Engineering or a Physical Science (Minimum: Second Class Upper Division).

  • Experience: 5 years of cognate experience in the HSE discipline, with 2–3 years specifically in Project Management.

  • Certifications: Must possess ISPON (HSE Level 3), NEBOSH, or IOSH certification.

  • Audit Qualification: Possess HSE ISO 14001 and 45001 audit qualifications.

Technical & Core Competencies

  • Software Mastery: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and SAP.

  • Field Expertise: Skill in HSE inspections, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.

  • Legal Literacy: Deep understanding of Nigerian HSE laws, regulatory requirements, and industrial standards.
