We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the company’s overall financial strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth targets.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Managing Director and Executive Team to guide decision-making.
  • Support the structuring and evaluation of trade finance deals, capital projects, and investment opportunities.
  • Advise on optimal funding structures, working capital management, and capital-raising strategies.

Financial Operations & Reporting:

  • Oversee accounting, budgeting, and treasury management functions.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of accurate financial statements, management reports, and board packs.
  • Implement financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate financial audits and ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Trade Finance & Capital Advisory Support:

  • Work closely with capital advisory team to structure, price, and evaluate trade finance and capital advisory for trade financing & capital advisory transactions (business leads)
  • Conduct due diligence and financial modeling for clients, including cash flow forecasting, valuation, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and strategic partners.

Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Implement best practices in risk-based financial oversight, internal control, and anti-money laundering (AML) protocols relevant to trade finance.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team to deliver high-quality outputs and develop professional capabilities.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture of accountability, integrity, and collaboration within the finance department.
  • Liaise cross-functionally with the Client Relations, Operations, and Risk Management teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc Finance) or professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CFA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in financial management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within trade finance, investment banking, or financial advisory.
  • Proven expertise in financial structuring, capital raising, and risk management.
  • Strong understanding of trade finance instruments (letters of credit, guarantees, supply chain financing, etc.) and capital market products.
