Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Head of Internal Control / Audit to anchor the governance engine of our Onitsha manufacturing operations. In the complex industrial landscape of South-Eastern Nigeria, success is defined by "Risk Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize factory-floor operations with the clinical precision required for Internal Control Frameworks, Statutory Compliance, and Fraud Prevention. This role is designed for a "Governance Architect" with 5–10 years of experience who can blend "Industrial Grit" (monitoring warehouse and production losses) with the "Strategic Agility" required to lead investigations and establish organization-wide risk management strategies.

Requirements:

1. Framework Orchestration & Governance

• Control Sovereignty: Design and implement elite internal control frameworks across all departments, acting as the primary "Source of Institutional Safeguarding."

• Audit Architecture: Conduct high-fidelity financial and operational audits to ensure adherence to policies, providing the "Structural Foundation" for regulatory compliance.

• Process Stewardship: Evaluate manufacturing and procurement workflows to identify gaps, ensuring the "Source of Operational Efficiency" is elite and waste-free.

2. Tactical Resilience & Risk Logic

• Risk Sovereignty: Establish risk management strategies and maintain a comprehensive risk register, acting as the primary "Source of Organizational Foresight."

• Investigation Architecture: Lead clinical investigations into suspected fraud or misconduct, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for corrective actions and loss recovery.

• Validation Stewardship: Review and validate cost controls and expense management systems, maintaining the "Source of Financial Truth."

3. Leadership Integrity & Performance Power

• Compliance Sovereignty: Collaborate with department heads to enforce implementation of audit recommendations, acting as the primary "Source of Behavioral Accountability."

• Mentorship Architecture: Supervise and mentor the internal audit team, providing the "Visual Foundation" for a high-integrity, detail-oriented department.

• Audit Logic: Support external auditors during statutory inspections, utilizing 5–10 years of manufacturing expertise to maximize the "Source of Audit Velocity."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 5–10 years in Internal Control, Audit, or Risk Management, specifically within a manufacturing environment.

• Certification: Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, or ICAN) is a high-value strategic advantage.
