Job Description:
1. Strategic Communication & Brand Stewardship
Brand Authority: Position Mai Shayi as the definitive reference point in Nigerian coffee and hospitality through a comprehensive communication strategy.
Consistency & Quality: Define and enforce the brand voice, tone, and messaging framework across all signage, packaging, and promotional materials.
Internal Alignment: Lead internal communications to ensure that every team member understands and embodies the brand promise.
2. Content Strategy & Multi-Channel Storytelling
Editorial Roadmap: Own the content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and in-store channels, translating business goals into relatable stories.
Creative Leadership: Oversee the development of written, visual, and audiovisual content, ensuring all output meets premium quality benchmarks.
Cultural Relevance: Translate product launches and sustainability efforts into narratives that resonate with the local and global coffee community.
3. Performance Analytics & Public Engagement
Data-Driven Insights: Use analytics to assess content effectiveness and refine messaging formats to improve reach and brand affinity.
Media Relations: Build a robust network of journalists, influencers, and cultural tastemakers to drive brand awareness and secure high-value media coverage.
Brand Spokesperson: Represent the organization at industry forums, interviews, and community engagements as the primary brand ambassador.
Requirements:
Technical & Professional Skills
Storytelling Mastery: Exceptional writing and editing skills with a sharp eye for detail and premium aesthetics.
Digital Literacy: Deep knowledge of CMS, social media analytics, and digital marketing tools.
Public Relations: Solid experience in reputation management and stakeholder engagement.
Added Value: Hands-on skills in photography, video editing, or graphic design are a significant plus.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Advanced Degree: Master’s Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Professional History: 5+ years of progressive experience in brand management or communication, preferably in Lifestyle, Hospitality, or Premium Consumer Brands.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing and inspiring multi-disciplinary creative teams (designers, videographers, writers).
