Job Description:

We are seeking an elite Head Chef to lead the culinary vision of a premium Afro fusion restolounge in Ikate, Lagos. This is a role for a master of the craft who bridges technical rigor with boundless creativity. If you are a disciplined leader with a background from a recognized culinary institution and a track record of building world-class kitchen cultures, we want to see your portfolio. This role is strictly onsite, demanding a hands-on leader who is present, visible, and deeply involved in the daily pursuit of culinary perfection.

Requirements:

• Culinary Visionary: Own the entire menu lifecycle—from concept development and Afro fusion innovation to final plate execution. You will define our identity through seasonal specials and unique tasting experiences.

• Team Leadership: Build a high-performing kitchen team founded on discipline, accountability, and technical mastery. You will lead regular upskilling sessions to ensure every staff member operates to your standards.

• Operational Command: Manage the financial heart of the kitchen. You will oversee food costing, menu profitability, and kitchen budgeting in close collaboration with management.

• Supply Chain & Waste: Maintain meticulous control over inventory, supplier relationships, and stock levels, ensuring a sustainable operation that prioritizes waste reduction without compromising quality.

• Quality & Compliance: Set the bar for hygiene, food safety, and presentation. You will ensure 100% compliance with all health regulations while maintaining an impeccable kitchen environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Formal qualification from a recognized culinary school is non-negotiable.

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of total professional kitchen experience, with at least 3 years specifically in a Head Chef or Executive Chef role.

• Technical Mastery:

  • Proven expertise in Afro fusion cuisine.

  • A strong, documented portfolio of original menus and signature dishes.
