Job Description:
Data for Implementation (Data.FI) is looking for a creative and data-savvy Graphic Designer to help tell the story of Nigeria’s flagship digital health project. In this role, you won't just be "making things look pretty"; you will be a visual translator, turning complex health data and project milestones into user-friendly assets that influence government stakeholders and international donors.
Reporting to the Senior Communications Officer, you will bridge the gap between technical data and human impact. Whether you are designing infographics for HIV/TB response or layout reports for USG leadership, your work will directly enhance evidence-based decision-making through superior visual communication.
Requirements:
1. Visual Storytelling & Identity Management
Brand Guardianship: Develop visibility materials (banners, posters, flyers) that strictly adhere to Data.FI and USAID/USG branding and marking guidelines.
Content Creation: Produce high-quality visual content for social media, reports, and newsletters that effectively communicates project initiatives.
Modern Design Execution: Stay ahead of design trends to ensure all outputs are contemporary, high-impact, and user-centric.
2. Layout & Data Visualization
Information Architecture: Design complex reports and layouts that remain legible and engaging for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
Digital Optimization: Ensure all designs are responsive and optimized for various platforms, including web, mobile, and print.
Feedback Integration: Iteratively develop concepts and drafts, incorporating feedback from cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality final versions.
3. Collaborative Production
Cross-Functional Synergy: Work alongside Business Analysts and Developers to ensure that technical health insights are represented accurately and cohesively.
Content Planning: Support the Communications team in executing a robust content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of visual assets.
Creative Strategy: Provide high-level creative input on new communication products to ensure they align with the project's long-term digital health strategy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Graphic Design or Communications, preferably within an NGO or international development context.
Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and modern design prototyping tools.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of work—specifically including infographics, report layouts, and digital campaigns.
Core Competencies
Attention to Detail: Exceptional proofreading and editing skills to ensure zero-error design outputs.
Communication: Ability to explain design logic and visual concepts clearly to non-designers.
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a formal Certification in Graphic Design is a major plus.
