Job Description:

Founded in 1933, our Club stands as a prestigious landmark of recreation and community in Benin City. We are seeking a visionary General Manager to uphold our legacy of excellence while steering the club into a new era of growth. As the custodian of the member experience, you will oversee a multi-faceted operation—from world-class sports facilities and fitness centers to high-end food and beverage (F&B) outlets. You will be responsible for harmonizing operational efficiency with a premium hospitality mindset, ensuring that every member feels the exclusivity and warmth that has defined us for nearly a century.

Requirements:

1. Operational Excellence & Facility Stewardship

  • Holistic Management: Oversee the daily operations of all club assets, including tennis courts, swimming pools, the fitness center, and meticulously manicured grounds.

  • Service Standards: Implement and supervise rigorous service protocols across all departments, ensuring the staff delivers a "Member-First" experience at every touchpoint.

  • F&B Strategy: Drive the profitability and quality of our restaurants, bars, and lounges, ensuring diverse and high-quality culinary offerings.

2. Financial Governance & Growth

  • Fiscal Responsibility: Manage the annual budget, oversee financial reporting, and implement cost-control measures to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Membership Growth: Develop and execute innovative marketing and recruitment strategies to expand our membership base while maintaining the club's prestigious status.

  • Member Retention: Create and curate events and initiatives that drive member engagement, satisfaction, and long-term loyalty.

3. Leadership & Policy Compliance

  • Staff Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse workforce, fostering a culture of professional pride and accountability.

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to club policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience & Background

  • Tenure: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Senior Hospitality Management, Facility Management, or a high-end Club Management role.

  • Proven Track Record: Experience in managing multi-unit operations (e.g., F&B + Sports Facilities) is highly desirable.
