Job Description:
We are seeking a highly disciplined FLIGHT OPERATIONS AUDITOR to oversee the integrity, compliance, and safety of our flight operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all flight activities—including dispatch, flight crew, and cabin crew operations—strictly adhere to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CARs) and global industry best practices. This role acts as the primary auditor and advisor, bridging the gap between regulatory requirements and operational execution. Your mission is to mitigate fatigue risk, manage airworthiness standards, and foster a robust Safety Management System (SMS) across the organization and its subcontractors.
Requirements:
1. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Auditing
Oversight: Monitor the organization's continuous compliance with Civil Aviation Regulations and airworthiness requirements.
Audit Management: Implement and administer a comprehensive Quality Audit Program. Establish a rigorous follow-up system to ensure all discrepancies are corrected within stipulated timelines.
Operational Advisory: Act as the subject matter expert, advising the Flight Operations department on the most efficient ways to meet Authority requirements and industry benchmarks.
2. Crew Standards & Fatigue Risk Management
Currency Monitoring: Maintain strict oversight of medicals, licenses, competency checks, and simulator training currency for dispatch, flight, and cabin crews.
Fatigue Risk Management (FRM): Monitor flight and duty periods to ensure all personnel operate within regulatory limits, actively managing the risk of crew fatigue.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze operational flight data to identify trends and recommend improvements in training, IOCC (Integrated Operations Control Center) efficiency, and crew performance.
3. Operational Coordination & Risk Management
Risk Integration: Coordinate with operational leads to manage identified operational risks and ensure seamless communication across departments.
Supply Chain Quality: Monitor flight operations subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring they meet the organization’s Quality and Safety Management System (QMS/SMS) goals.
Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate regularly with internal leads and external partners regarding the implementation of safety goals and regulatory updates.
Qualifications and Skills:
Mandatory Technical Background
Academic/Professional: Must hold a Diploma or Degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering; OR must have held one of the following licenses:
Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
Flight Dispatcher License
Cabin Crew License
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a commercial or private airline environment.
Certification: Must hold a formal Auditor Qualification.
Core Competencies
Regulatory Expertise: Deeply conversant with Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) requirements, procedures, and Nig. CARs.
Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze flight data and audit findings to drive operational improvements.
Integrity: High level of professional skepticism and attention to detail, especially regarding crew safety and licensing.
