It builds, operates and markets its own fibre-to-the-home network under the CANALBOX brand. As part of its expansion in Nigeria, GVA is recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- The Financial Controller will be responsible for the accounting and the financial monitoring of the subsidiary, by setting up and improving dashboards and monitoring indicators, in close collaboration with the other departments.
Tasks
Administrative Management:
- Ensure a strong interface with the operational services, especially the accounting department
- Determine and implement the necessary means to ensure the proper functioning of the company's reporting
- Ensure the optimization of the internal management tools.
Closing and Reporting:
- Prepare financial statements and escalate accounts in accordance with the GVA monthly and quarterly closing schedule
- Ensure the consistency and the reliability of the elements reported, in coordination with operational managers
- Analysis of variances with budget forecasts
Budget development and monitoring, support for the financial management of the activity:
- Participate in the budget process and the preparation of the periodic forecasts.
- Set up reporting and monitoring of analytical KPIs
- Highlight and analyze the gaps between the achievements and the budget and participate in making corrective actions
- Control and track expenditure commitments
- Analyze, prepare and present the figures for Business Reviews
- Manage cash flow monitoring in coordination with GVA's finance team for capital raising
Monitoring and evolution of the GVA analytical repository:
- Follow and adapt the analytical repository.
Expected deliverables:
- Monthly reporting Group Management
- Analyses ad-hoc (Capex, KPI…)
- Inventory monitoring reporting: (inventory, valuation, disposal, ...)
- Budget forecasts and updates
- Alerts and recommendation report
- Gap Analysis Report
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Higher level education (Bac +4/5) in Finance
- Significant experience of at least 3 years in an audit firm or financial department
Skills:
- Perfect mastery of the Microsoft Office Pack, especially Excel
- Knowledge of an ERP and Power BI would be an asset
- Good accounting culture
