Job Description:

We are seeking a high-integrity, solution-oriented Client Service Officer to serve as a key regional anchor for our Southwest operations (Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, and Ogun). In the modern banking landscape, the Client Service Officer is the definitive link between institutional reliability and customer loyalty. This role is designed for a "Service Strategist", a professional with 1–2 years of experience who can resolve complex inquiries, manage critical banking assets, and identify cross-selling opportunities to drive branch growth.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Friction Banking." You will be the first point of escalation for complex queries, responsible for the lifecycle of sensitive assets like ATM cards and cheque books, and the guardian of operational compliance. If you possess "Composure" under pressure and the professional grit to navigate high-volume value transactions, we want you to elevate our client experience across the Southwest.

Requirements:

1. Specialized Asset & Inquiry Management

  • Asset Custodianship: Receive, handle, and perform daily balancing of ATM cards in strict adherence to security policies, collaborating with the Asset Custodian to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.

  • Complex Resolution: Serve as the technical escalation point for frontline staff, resolving intricate queries regarding cheque books, off-cycle statements, and transaction histories.

  • Transactional Integrity: Execute value transactions within your authorized limits, ensuring all postings are verified by the Team Leader to maintain the bank's fiscal safety.

2. Operational Compliance & Risk Governance

  • Policy Stewardship: Process Cash Transfers (CT) and other high-value instructions according to laid-down compliance frameworks, ensuring all source documents are meticulously archived.

  • Systemic Reporting: Log every interaction on the Remedy Application daily and maintain the Customer Complaints Register to provide a transparent audit trail of service recovery efforts.

  • Standardized Excellence: Uphold the regulations governing financial services management, ensuring that every branch interaction meets both legal and internal quality standards.

3. Growth Advocacy & Tactical Sales

  • Reactive Selling: Identify opportunities for product migration and cross-selling during customer interactions, turning routine queries into revenue-generating moments.

  • Market Participation: Support regional leadership in tactical sales and marketing activities to increase the bank's footprint within the local Southwest market.

  • Rapport Architecture: Build and maintain professional relationships with a diverse client base, using active listening to anticipate needs and improve customer retention.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Minimum of a First Degree in any discipline.

  • Experience: 1 – 2 years of experience in branch banking, with a deep understanding of bank products, compliance procedures, and financial regulations.

  • Location: Must be able to operate effectively within the Southwest region (Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, or Ogun).

Core Competencies

  • Technical Grit: Mastery of banking processes, risk identification, and telephone caller handling.

  • Behavioral Composure: Ability to show composure and maintain standards in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict timescales.

  • Strategic Initiative: A "Seizing Opportunities" mindset to identify and act on sales leads reactively.
